I am Marina, founder and designer behind the House of White Rose. My independent studio, based in York, designs and tailors beautiful made-to-measure bridal and formalwear gowns using traditional methods. My work is deeply rooted in craftsmanship and timeless artistry of the Yorkshire's textile tradition.

Every sketch, every stitch and every piece the studio produces is designed with one goal in mind: to make someone feel truly special. Each gown takes over 100 hours of work to complete and some take considerably longer.

Formalwear fashion, for me, is an expression of structure and emotion. True luxury is not in excess, but in craftsmanship, time and the intimate connection between designer and wearer. Every gown produced by the studio is designed to be treasured — worn for life’s defining moments and passed forward as part of a lasting legacy.

At its heart, my work is about creating magic: gowns that allow a woman to step fully into herself, to feel powerful and unapologetically take up space.
